The Visionary

Executive Chef
Tanveer Ahmed

Chef Tanveer Ahmed's journey began in the aromatic, winding lanes of Old Dhaka, where the scent of 'shatkora' and slow-simmered stews formed his earliest memories.

Over thirty years, he ascended from an apprentice in local kitchens to a world-renowned maestro, training under Michelin-starred luminaries in London and Paris. Today, he returns to his roots, translating his global acclaim into a love letter to Bengali heritage, reimagining the royal feasts of the Nawabs for the modern epicurean.

Our Manifesto

The Philosophy of Plate

At MohorAna, we believe that culinary excellence is found at the intersection of heritage revival and molecular tradition. Our plates are not merely food; they are vessels for historical preservation, utilizing contemporary science to amplify ancient flavors.

Every ingredient is a story of soil and season. We treat our 'River-to-Table' sourcing with the same reverence as the complex spice layers that define our signature dishes.

The Art of Flavor

Our philosophy is rooted in the "Shorshe-Narkol" (Mustard-Coconut) axis, reimagined through contemporary culinary techniques. We believe every dish must tell a story of Dhaka's geography—from the silt-rich banks of the Buriganga to the bustling spice markets of Shakhari Bazar.

Chef Ahmed's approach treats spices not as seasonings, but as architecture. We layer aromas to create an olfactory journey that precedes the first bite, ensuring a multisensory experience that lingers long after the meal is over.
